Presentation | Explore Halloween Lore and Traditions at Half-Hour History
Join us on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 1 p.m. for a special Half-Hour History session exploring the fascinating origins of our favorite Halloween customs. Author and researcher Chad Lewis will guide attendees through the historical roots behind traditional symbols, from scarecrows and jack-o'-lanterns to the folklore of bats, witches, and the dark. This monthly midday speaker series is made possible through a generous grant from the Mount Horeb Community Foundation. All are welcome to attend this free educational event on the third Wednesday of every month.
